Boss Agent plugs into your existing ServiceM8 account. You don't need to change how you work — Boss Agent adds an AI layer on top of what you already do.

Installing Boss Agent

  1. Visit the ServiceM8 Add-on Store from within your ServiceM8 account.
  2. Search for "Boss Agent" by Kabooyaa.
  3. Click Install and follow the prompts to authorise Boss Agent.
  4. You will be redirected to ServiceM8's OAuth screen — click Allow to grant Boss Agent access to your jobs, contacts, and pricebook.
  5. That's it. Boss Agent is now connected to your account.

Setup & Configuration

OAuth Connection

Boss Agent connects to ServiceM8 via their official OAuth API — the same secure method used by all approved ServiceM8 add-ons. This gives Boss Agent read and write access to:

Pricebook Import

Boss Agent automatically imports your ServiceM8 pricebook when you first connect. This is how it matches materials and labour rates when generating quotes.

Agent 1: Voice to Quote

What it does

Turns your voice memos and site photos into professional, branded PDF quotes — pushed straight to ServiceM8.

How to use it

  1. Record a voice memo on site. Describe the job as you would to a colleague: what needs doing, what materials, any complications. Speak naturally — Boss Agent understands trade language.
  2. Snap a few photos. Photos of the site, the problem, or any measurements. Boss Agent analyses images to add context to the quote.
  3. Submit to Boss Agent. Upload the voice memo and photos through the Boss Agent interface or directly in ServiceM8.
  4. Review the draft quote. Boss Agent transcribes your memo, matches your pricebook, generates line items, and creates a branded PDF quote. It appears as a draft on the job in ServiceM8.
  5. Send. Review, make any edits, and send directly to the customer from ServiceM8.

Tips

  • Mention specific materials by name — Boss Agent matches them to your pricebook entries.
  • Include measurements if you can ("about 12 square metres of tiling").
  • Photos of labels, measurements, or existing damage help Boss Agent generate more accurate quotes.
  • The more detail in your voice memo, the more accurate the quote. A 60-second memo beats a 15-second one.

Agent 2: Voice to Invoice

What it does

Generates job completion reports and invoices from your voice notes and photos of the finished work.

How to use it

  1. Finish the job. Before you pack up, record a quick voice memo summarising what was done.
  2. Snap completion photos. Before-and-after shots, close-ups of finished work, or anything the customer should see.
  3. Submit to Boss Agent. Upload through the Boss Agent interface or ServiceM8.
  4. Review the report and invoice. Boss Agent writes a professional job report, calculates the invoice based on actual work done, and flags any differences from the original quote.
  5. Send. Approve and send the invoice to the customer.

Tips

  • Mention any extras or variations ("ended up replacing two taps instead of one").
  • Boss Agent will flag price differences from the quote so you can explain them before the customer asks.
  • Completion photos are included in the report — great for records and dispute prevention.

Agent 3: Conversation Handler

What it does

Reads incoming customer messages, understands the full job context, and drafts professional replies for you to review and send.

How it works

  1. Customer sends a message. This could be a reply to a quote, a question about a job, a booking request, or a follow-up.
  2. Boss Agent reads the context. It pulls in the full job history — quote, notes, previous messages, job status — so it understands the conversation.
  3. Boss Agent drafts a reply. The draft appears in your Boss Agent dashboard, ready for review.
  4. You review and send. Edit if needed, then tap send. The customer gets a timely, professional reply.

What it handles

  • Quote follow-ups ("Is this quote still valid?")
  • Booking requests ("Can you come Tuesday?")
  • Job queries ("Will you need access to the meter box?")
  • After-hours messages — drafts are ready when you check your phone in the morning
  • General customer communication

What it does NOT do

  • It never sends messages without your approval
  • It does not handle emergencies or urgent safety matters
  • It does not make commitments or promises on your behalf

Agent 4: Dispute Prevention

What it does

Automatically compares invoices to original quotes. If the price has changed, it sends the customer a friendly heads-up explaining why — before they see the invoice.

How it works

  1. You generate an invoice (manually or via Agent 2).
  2. Boss Agent compares it to the original quote. It checks line items, totals, and identifies any variances.
  3. If the price changed: Boss Agent drafts a variance explanation message for the customer. Example: "Hi Sarah, just a heads-up — the final invoice is $180 more than the original quote because we replaced an additional tap fitting that was corroded. Here's the updated breakdown..."
  4. You review and send the heads-up before the invoice arrives.
  5. Customer receives the explanation first, then the invoice. No surprises.

How much does Boss Agent cost?

$129 USD per month per ServiceM8 account. This includes all four AI agents and unlimited core usage. SMS notifications are billed separately based on usage. New accounts start with a 14-day free trial — no credit card required.

How do I cancel?

You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Boss Agent dashboard or by emailing admin@kabooyaa.com. You'll retain access until the end of your current billing period. No lock-in contracts, no cancellation fees.

Is my data secure?

Yes. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Data is stored on servers in Australia and/or the EU. Boss Agent accesses your ServiceM8 data via their official OAuth API — the same secure method used by all approved add-ons. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

All your data is deleted within 30 days of account cancellation. You can request a data export before cancelling by contacting admin@kabooyaa.com.

Does Boss Agent work in my country?

Boss Agent works with any ServiceM8 account, regardless of location. ServiceM8 is primarily used in Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. Boss Agent supports English-language voice memos and customer communication.

What trades does Boss Agent work for?

Any trade that uses ServiceM8 — plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, landscaping, cleaning, painting, and more. If you quote, invoice, and communicate with customers, Boss Agent helps.

Can Boss Agent send messages without my approval?

No. Boss Agent always drafts content for your review. Nothing goes to a customer without you approving it first. You stay in full control.

What if Boss Agent gets a quote wrong?

Boss Agent generates drafts, not final documents. You review every quote before sending. If something looks off, edit it — just like you would with any document. Over time, Boss Agent learns from your pricebook and patterns to improve accuracy.

Does Boss Agent replace ServiceM8?

No. Boss Agent is an add-on that works inside ServiceM8. Your jobs, contacts, and workflow stay exactly where they are. Boss Agent adds AI capabilities on top.
